The campaign is the recipient of an award Effie Awards 2019 for an initiative that motivates, encourages conversation and creates a lasting positive effect in the community.
DISCUSSION PANEL from 18:00 to 20:00 Topic: CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN MEDIA: DO WE HEAR THEIR VOICE?
It is often forgotten in public discourse that children’s engagement with fiction can be as influential as their understanding of news and informational content. The media landscape thus serves not only as a channel for facts but also as a space for cultivating empathy, imagination, appreciation of diversity and ethical thinking. The professionalism, aesthetics and ethics of content created for children are essential, because the way we portray them shapes how society recognizes their rights, particularly their right to be heard, respected and to take part equally in matters that concern them directly.

DISCUSSION PANEL from 18:30 to 20:00 Topic: GREEN PROGRAM FOR THE YOUNGEST
As the boundaries of the media landscape disappear, the question arises of how to balance global formats with authentic local stories and how media can become a platform that empowers rather than frightens children. Special attention will be given to environmental education, both through content that introduces children to climate change and responsibility toward nature and through opportunities for an ecological shift within the sector itself, including sustainable pre-production and production practices.
The discussion seeks to showcase innovative approaches to international collaboration and creative work for children, where media serve as a space for empathy, understanding and collective learning, while also functioning as an industry aware of its social and environmental responsibilities. When approached this way, media can become a space where children not only watch the world but actively engage with, comprehend and shape it.
